Members Dashboard Overview
Version:

Webteic 1.0

Requirements:

A registered member account is required. Available menus and tools depend on the member’s role, group or company associations, installed modules and platform configuration.

Understanding the Members Dashboard

The Webteic Members Dashboard is the private, member-facing area of the platform. It allows registered users to manage their information, review orders and access the content and tools available to their account.

The Members Dashboard adapts to each user. A standard member has a simple self-service account, while group administrators, vendor administrators and company administrators can receive additional management options.

The features shown depend on:

  • The member’s account role.

  • Their group or company associations.

  • The modules installed on the platform.

  • The features enabled by a platform administrator.

This overview explains the main types of member experience. Individual features will be covered in more detailed tutorials.

Standard member accounts

For a standard member, the Members Dashboard is intentionally straightforward.

Members can access My Account to view and update their personal information, including their name, contact details, address and account image. They can also review the account settings made available by the platform administrator.

When a signed-in member proceeds through checkout, Webteic can automatically use the information stored in their account to complete the relevant checkout fields. This saves the member from entering the same personal and billing information for every order.

Orders, receipts and invoices

The My Orders section provides members with a record of their activity across supported Webteic modules.

Members can review their orders, open the associated details and access receipts or invoices. Where an invoice is available as a PDF, it can be viewed or downloaded from the Members Dashboard.

Depending on the modules installed, these orders may relate to store purchases, event bookings, membership plans or other paid services.

Dashboard and newsfeed

The main Dashboard provides an introduction to the member’s account and shortcuts to commonly used areas such as Account Settings and Billing & Orders.

When the member belongs to a group, the Dashboard can display the group’s identity, their membership information and a newsfeed containing relevant group activity.

The newsfeed can bring together supported content such as Blog posts, Events and other updates, giving members a central place to follow activity within their community.

Groups and community access

When the Groups module is installed, members who belong to a group can access the Community area.

Depending on the modules enabled for Groups, community options can include:

  • Group members and member profiles.

  • Group news and Blog posts.

  • Upcoming Events.

  • Projects.

  • Membership plans.

  • Store items.

Platform administrators decide which modules are available to Groups.

Content can also be restricted to members of a particular group. A group administrator can publish private content for their own group, while a platform administrator can make suitable content available to one group or across multiple groups.

This allows each group to operate its own private community area within the wider platform.

Group administrators

Group administrators receive additional management tools inside the Members Dashboard.

They can manage their group information and view the members associated with their group. They can also access group-related orders, invoices, membership subscriptions and Event attendee bookings.

When the relevant modules have been enabled for Groups, a group administrator may also be able to create and manage:

  • Blog posts.

  • Events and bookings.

  • Membership plans.

  • Projects.

  • Store products or services.

These tools allow a group to manage its own activity without giving the group administrator access to the main platform Admin Dashboard.

The platform administrator remains in control of which modules and management features are available to group administrators.

Vendor companies

Webteic can also support vendor companies. This allows an approved vendor administrator to create and manage products or services that can be offered to other members through the platform.

For example, when the Store module is enabled for vendors, a vendor administrator can:

  • Create and manage their own products.

  • Set prices and available quantities.

  • Review their sales.

  • Access company orders.

  • View related receipts and invoices.

Vendor functionality is not limited to the Store. The platform can also be configured to allow vendor companies to create offerings through supported modules such as Events or Memberships.

Administrators control which modules are available to vendors and whether members can browse the resulting internal Store items, Events or Membership plans.

Vendor companies operate independently of the Groups module. Vendor functionality can be used without Groups being installed, or both systems can operate together on the same platform.

Company accounts

Company Accounts allow orders and account activity to be associated with a company rather than only with an individual member.

A basic company account may contain one company administrator. The administrator can maintain the company information and use it when placing orders, ensuring that the correct company details appear on invoices and related records.

If Company Team Management is enabled, the company administrator can invite staff members and manage the company’s team from the Members Dashboard.

Team Management allows the company administrator to:

  • Invite new company members.

  • View active and pending team members.

  • Manage team member roles and status.

  • Review company orders.

  • Assign eligible purchases to members of the company.

For example, when a company purchases a Membership plan containing one or more places, those memberships can be allocated to the appropriate staff members.

This allows Webteic to support both simple company billing accounts and larger organisations that need to manage access for a team.

Different account types working together

Groups, vendor companies and company accounts serve different purposes:

  • Groups provide private communities and shared member content.

  • Vendor companies allow approved organisations to publish and sell offerings.

  • Company accounts support company purchasing, billing and team management.

These features are independent but can operate together. A platform can use only the options it needs or combine them to support a more advanced member network.

A dashboard shaped around each member

The Members Dashboard only displays the areas relevant to the signed-in user.

A standard member may only need account and order access. A member of a group can also participate in their community, while group, vendor and company administrators can receive the management tools appropriate to their responsibilities.

This role-based approach keeps the experience simple for ordinary members while allowing organisations and administrators to manage their own activity through the same platform.
