Admin Dashboard Overview
Version:

Webteic 1.0

Requirements:

An administrator account is required. Available menus and tools depend on the administrator’s role, installed modules and platform configuration.

Understanding the Admin Dashboard

The Webteic Admin Dashboard is the main control centre for your platform. From here, administrators can manage members, website content, orders, reports, organisations, modules and system settings.

This overview introduces the main areas of the Admin Dashboard and explains what each one is used for. Individual features and settings will be covered in more detail in their own tutorials.

The menus available to an administrator may vary depending on their assigned role, the modules installed on the platform and the features that have been enabled.

Dashboard

The Dashboard is the first screen displayed after signing in to the Admin Dashboard.

It provides an immediate summary of the platform, including visitor activity, member totals, published content and recently registered members. The activity panel displays recent actions such as member registrations and administrator logins.

Dashboard cards also provide shortcuts to commonly used areas, allowing administrators to quickly access member management, website pages and other important features.

Member Accounts

The Member Accounts section is used to view and manage the people registered on the platform.

Administrators can:

  • View and search member accounts.

  • Create new member accounts.

  • Edit member details and account status.

  • Import multiple members.

  • Assign members to groups where applicable.

  • Control the role assigned to each member.

Member User Roles allow you to create different levels of access for members. Modules can use these roles to determine who is permitted to view content or perform particular actions in the Members Dashboard.

For example, a platform could have separate roles for ordinary members, managers, organisation administrators or other types of users.

Payments & Orders

Payments & Orders brings payment-related activity from supported modules into one management area.

Administrators can review completed orders and access dedicated areas for:

  • Membership subscriptions.

  • Event bookings and tickets.

  • Store orders and shipping.

The order records show information such as the customer, purchased item, associated group, payment amount, order date and current payment details.

The options shown in this section depend on which payment-supported modules are installed and enabled.

Reports & Analytics

Reports & Analytics provides information about activity across the website and platform.

Website Statistics includes totals for visits and unique visitors, along with information about recent traffic. Administrators can also review visitor browsers, devices and operating platforms.

Additional reporting areas include:

  • Platform activity.

  • Website statistics.

  • Orders and income reports.

These reports provide a quick operational overview. More specialised reporting may also be available inside individual modules.

Organizations

The Organizations section is used to manage companies, organisations, clubs, vendors and other structured groups represented on the platform.

Company Management allows administrators to create and maintain company records, assign representatives, control their status and manage information used for emails, payments and invoices.

When the Groups module is installed, Group Management provides access to the groups operating on the platform and their related information. Administrators can also access the Groups homepage from this area.

The organisation features can be used in different ways depending on the type of website being created.

Plugins

The Plugins section contains settings and management tools provided by installed platform plugins.

In Webteic 1.0, this includes currency records and payment API settings. Administrators can review the supported currencies, their codes and symbols, and configure the payment services used by the platform.

Additional plugins may add their own administration options to this section.

System Modules

Installed content and commerce modules appear in the System Modules area of the sidebar.

Depending on the modules selected during installation, this may include:

  • Blog

  • Projects

  • Memberships

  • Events

  • Store

  • Groups

  • Services

Each module provides its own management screens for creating content, organising records and configuring the module’s behaviour.

For example, the Blog module allows administrators to manage posts, categories and Blog settings, while Events provides tools for managing events, bookings and tickets.

The exact options available depend on the purpose and features of each module. Separate module overviews and detailed tutorials will explain these areas individually.

Modules List

The Modules List provides access to the modules available within the Webteic platform.

From here, authorised administrators can review installed modules and manage additional modules as they become available.

Only installed and enabled modules appear as active management sections in the Admin Dashboard sidebar.

Website Pages

The Website Pages menu in the top navigation provides access to public website management.

Administrators can:

  • Create and manage website pages.

  • Control page addresses and access.

  • Edit page content and SEO information.

  • Manage the website’s Terms and Conditions.

  • Access the File Manager.

Website pages can be public or restricted according to the role-access options selected for the page.

The File Manager provides access to uploaded website and module files, including images, documents and generated files. File access should be limited to trusted administrators.

System Settings

The System Settings menu provides access to the main configuration and maintenance areas of Webteic.

Main settings include:

  • Platform Settings

  • Security Settings

  • Payment Settings

  • Plugins and API Settings

  • Installed Themes

  • Installed Modules

  • Platform Alerts

Advanced settings include administrative configuration, error logs, backups, restoration tools and developer options.

Some advanced or developer tools are only displayed to administrators with the required access level. These areas should be used carefully, particularly on a live platform.

Members Dashboard

The Members Dashboard link in the top navigation allows an administrator to switch from the administration area to the member-facing dashboard.

This is useful when checking how platform content and features appear to registered members. What the administrator sees in the Members Dashboard will depend on their account role and the modules enabled for members.

Notifications and administrator account

The notification icon in the top-right corner displays platform alerts and recent notifications requiring attention.

The administrator account menu provides access to account-related options for the currently signed-in administrator, including their profile and logout controls.

A flexible administration area

The Webteic Admin Dashboard adapts to the platform being created. A simple website may use only member accounts, website pages and a Blog, while a larger platform may include organisations, groups, memberships, events, payments and a store.

Administrators only need to work with the sections relevant to their website. Each area can be explored further through the dedicated Webteic tutorials.
